Buttlejorrk Artist Collective’s 49th Annual Exhibition celebrates the festive season with colour, craftsmanship, and creativity. Bringing together a vibrant mix of painting, sculpture, pottery, jewellery, textiles, woodwork, and more this exhibition is all handcrafted by talented local Macedon Ranges artists.  This popular annual art exhibition is a highlight at the Old Auction House Gallery in Kyneton. Founded in 1976, Buttlejorrk was established by a group of potters who wanted to share their knowledge and showcase their work collectively. Their name pays homage to the original name of an area around Sunbury and Diggers Rest, as all of the artists draw deeply from the beauty of our our region. Over the years, the group has grown, with some original members still actively involved alongside artists who have joined in recent years. The individual artists within Buttlejorrk come from diverse backgrounds and styles, encompassing both traditional and contemporary works. Their artistic journeys have led them to expand their horizons, incorporating a wider range of arts such as painting, sculpture, jewellery, textiles, metalwork, and woodwork. This year’s exhibition showcases a diverse range of artworks, including painting, sculpture, pottery, jewellery, textiles, woodwork, and more, all meticulously crafted by talented local Macedon Ranges artists by Buttlejorrk Artists as well as some guest artists from Macedon Ranges Potters. Come down and visit some of the finest producers in the state at the Macedon Village Farmers' Market, held below the majestic Mount Macedon on the welcoming grounds of Macedon Primary School in the leafy Macedon Ranges. The market will be an extension of the Woodend Community Farmers' Market and you can look forward to shopping with many of the same stallholders, who will be bringing their high quality produce to the Macedon and surrounding communities, 4 times per year on the 5th Saturday. You can expect the same focus on sustainability, authenticity and community as the Woodend Farmers' Market. The Macedon Primary School are involving the school community in this event and will use any funds raised to further their landcare project.

You are invited to our late spring/summer edition of Open Studios Macedon to be held on the last weekend in spring 29-30 November, 10am to 4pm Come and visit nine artist studios and gardens to see where we work and what we produce in the Macedon Ranges. Lyons Will's 4th annual Fete De La Fleur Festival, a day celebrating a new grape growing season, flowering, new wines, great music and good food.   This year we have Chef Bente Grysbeck, a specialist in outdoor wood fire cooking will be serving up bites alongside Lyons Will newly released wines. This is the perfect day to spend with family and friends. All are welcome. Duneira Estate in the Macedon Ranges celebrates its 150th year anniversary with an 1870s Victorian Ball.

Come along dressed in your finest 1870’s ball attire and enjoy a night of dancing, conversation, wine, champagne and a sensational supper.

Music will fill the night air as we start with Victorian-themed ball dances from the 1870s.

As the night goes on then we pay homage to Duneira’s founders, the Officer Family. Get set to enjoy highland Scottish reels and dance the night away. Gentlemen wearing of kilts is encouraged!!

This is an exclusive event with limited tickets and an exceptional chance to experience a social event that Duneira’s historic villa was built for in 1875.
